Pastor Gideon Tsang invited us to orient our focus toward the Lenten season ahead; a journey that will be shaped by repentance ("changing our mind"), prayerfulness, and vulnerability. 

Pastor Josh Hilburn invited us to consider the Church as a temple made to create space for anyone and everyone, with Jesus as our sole foundation; a people built together by God so that we'd work passionately and tirelessly to build up others. 

Pastor Chris continues our series drawing from Scripture as well as the unique insight of theologian C.S. Lewis to consider how we're called to care for children, and our collective responsibility and privilege to raise and encourage them in their growing faith. 

Pastor Chris Seay returns to the series we've recently begun, engaging with scripture and the unique wisdom and insight of theologian C.S. Lewis. This week, Chris invited us to consider matters of vocation and calling, and how our lives at work can more fully reflect the light of Christ. 

Pastor Gideon Tsang challenges us to a live out our true identity by "consenting" to the love of God. Instead of endless striving, we are invited to embrace the good news that God is completing a good work within us. Our consent draws us towards a willingness to let God do His work in His way. 

Pastor Chris begins a new series that we'll revisit throughout the year; engaging with scripture and the unique insight of writer & theologian C.S. Lewis. If we desire true and lasting transformation in 2017, it begins from the inside out; with the renewal of our minds, and hearts shaped by obedience. 

Pastor Josh Hilburn invited us to consider our lives as united with that of Jesus, and to ask ourselves where we have sought meaning elsewhere. As we focus not on pleasure or power, but on relationships, spiritual health, and participation in God's mission of reconciliation, we discover our true purpose and impact in the world. 

Pastor Chris invites us to consider how we might grow in self-awareness in this new year; gaining insight about our "blind-spots", humbly acknowledging places in our lives and hearts that long for transformation, while finding great comfort in the perfect love of our Father and Creator. 

As we gathered to welcome the new year, our guest teacher Sean Palmer addressed diversity and division; inviting us to consider how we weigh our convictions, the giving and receiving of truth spoken in love, and the need to gain perspectives that differ from our own. 

Pastor Chris brought us his message this week from Peru, introducing us to a community that has seen death and disease due to contaminated water, and the blessed transformation that has come from our opportunity to participate in God's work to provide a clean water source and a renewal of hope. Through work in this community, and in so many around the world over the past ten years, we're reminded constantly that we are one global family under the reign of Christ, called to love all in Jesus' name. 

Pastor Chris first asked the children of our community who should receive the best gifts on Christmas, and then called us each to consider why and how we give gifts in this beautiful season. As a people who have received God's greatest gift, how will we respond in great thoughtfulness and love to those in our own lives, while worshipfully extending our greatest gifts to Jesus? 

Gideon Tsang asked us to consider how we seek wisdom, how it finds us in our seeking, and how it reveals the deeper motivations behind our actions. In this season, how will our response in generosity to the Kingdom naturally flow from grateful hearts as we receive the truth of who we are; beloved children covered in God's extravagant love? 

Pastor Josh Hilburn welcomed us into the Advent season, teaching on how we're called to Worship Fully in anticipation and response to the divine gift of Jesus' incarnation. Join us over the coming weeks as we consider how Ecclesia, as individuals and as a family, will worship fully, spend less, give more, and love all as we await our  Savior's birth. 

Pastor Chris Seay asks us to examine what fills "the cup" of our life: gratitude or negativity. As we approach the sacred Advent season, we explore the role of gratitude in our life and how the pattern of negativity can too easily become routine. Chris reminds us that as we pour out our cup, God will call us out of our pattern ofnegativity and fill us with gratitude. 

Our guest teacher, Jonathan Martin spoke passionately about a particularly tumultuous week in our nation, and the ongoing presence of deep fear, anxiety, and division. In these times of turmoil, the Church is called even more boldly into action, empowered by the Spirit to live and speak as a prophetic witness of reconciliation, healing, and hope.

Pastor Josh Hilburn asked us to consider how we seek God's will for our lives. Through greater humility, formation in the practice of prayer, and truly activating the truths we engage in scripture, we open our hearts to the potential of powerful and lasting change. 

Pastor Chris Seay explores the unique faith of King David, and how his life modeled many aspects of living with a transformed heart. When our hearts change, we live with an greater awareness of God's presence in our every moment, worship with joy and abandon, freely extend radical generosity, and cultivate deeper and unexpected friendships. 

Pastor Josh Hilburn continues our discussion on how the Church is called to engage in this season. The politics of Jesus is not about simply feeling something, but truly showing up and doing something. Focused on people, and not simply issues. How will we overcome anger and fear and be a people of incarnate kindness, compassion, and justice in the name of the Kingdom? 

Pastor Chris Seay teaches in the shadow of the Capitol, on our call to offer the fullness of our lives to the coming Kingdom. Engaging in an election season that has been particularly divisive, how will our lives proclaim love and unity in Jesus' name, in our nation and across the world? 

Jack Wisdom opened a discussion that will unfold over the next three weeks on how we, as the Body of Christ, are called to engage in a deeply broken political climate as a loving reflection of our Savior. Jesus continually and radically upended earthly expectations of power in ways that cannot be politicized or de-politicized, or claimed by either conservative or progressive ideology.
