ecclesia ekklēsía is a greek word found in the scriptures meaning church. We are a Christian community who together are learning how to live as the Church. Our hope is that we would reflect, learn from, and serve well the city we call home as we share the love of Jesus, our Liberating King.
Founded in 1999, Ecclesia continues to serve the city of Houston and engage global issues of poverty, injustice, and water accessibility. Over the years the church has moved from our space on Taft street in the Montrose area to two church campuses near downtown Houston and on the west side of Houston.

Joining the Community
We believe we are created to journey together, all uniquely gifted to participate with others.
Joining the Ecclesia community is a relational commitment for the sake of committing to God, committing to the Rhythms of Ecclesia, and as we journey together we commit to sharing our passion, time, and resources.
