the story
Back in 2015, Ecclesia was searching for more space to expand as our downtown campus was reaching capacity. Through those efforts, we found two churches that gifted their buildings to Ecclesia, so that we could continue the work of ministry in their communities. One of them is the West Side campus in the Piney Point neighborhood and the other was a building in the Near Northside neighborhood of Houston.
and what it is today
Today, the Lindale campus is a lively, welcoming space that serves as both a community center and a spiritual gathering place. Each week, the building is filled with the sounds of neighbors learning together, children playing, families receiving support, and friends sharing meals. Partner organizations offer a range of services — from ESL and computer literacy classes to free childcare and food distribution — all under one roof. On Thursday evenings, the center comes alive with a bilingual worship gathering open to everyone. Whether it’s through practical support or shared spiritual rhythms, the campus continues to grow as a place of belonging, dignity, and hope.
interested in volunteering?
Ecclesia Lindale only exists because of the people who give their time, energy, and compassion to serve others. Volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment, whether it’s helping with food distribution, supporting childcare, greeting guests at worship, or simply showing up with a smile. No matter your experience or schedule, there’s a place for you here to make an impact!
