Affordable Housing. A Future of Hope.
For over 26 years, Ecclesia has walked alongside Houston’s unhoused and housing-burdened sisters and brothers. Today, the crisis is greater than ever: working families, hourly wage earners, and our most vulnerable neighbors cannot find affordable, safe housing in our city.
We believe the church is called to act. That’s why we are stepping into the work of affordable housing—together with partners, neighbors, and friends who care about Houston’s future
We Love Our Neighbors
Houston faces a severe shortage of affordable housing. Thousands of families and individuals are priced out of safe and stable homes, leading to displacement, cycles of poverty, and life on the streets.
For us, the call is clear: Jesus invites us to love our neighbors, and part of that love is ensuring that all people have a place to call home.
The Hill
We are transforming 3838 Hillcroft, a four-story mid-century building designed by Houston architect William Jenkins. Once a vacant office, this landmark is becoming The Hill.
First Floor: Wraparound services such as Head Start programs, counseling, vocational training, and small businesses like a café or barbershop.
Upper Floors: Safe, affordable housing for working families, designed with cultural awareness and community in mind.
Neighborhood Impact: Located in a diverse, largely Latino neighborhood, next to Wisdom High School and near public transportation, The Hill is uniquely positioned to serve and thrive
