Lead a Group

We believe participating with others in community is essential for spiritual and personal growth. These roles help facilitate connection with Ecclesians.

  • Summary of Role

    The primary role of a Group Leader is to guide a small group of people into regular connection with one another and God. A Group Leader is like a shepherd who prioritizes following Jesus, building trust amongst the group, providing direction, and staying aware of the group’s well-being. Practically, this means coordinating what the group will do during your time together, inviting others into ownership roles to support the group’s flourishing (e.g. socials, serving, cooking, hosting, admin, communication), and actively participating in Ecclesia gatherings. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Active relationship with God, walking in the life of Jesus, through these spiritual practices: 

      • Community:

      • Prayer:

      • Scripture: 

    • Attention and care for your holistic wellbeing (spiritual, physical, emotional, social), relationships, rest, work, and leadership development

    • Model healthy relationship, communication, conflict resolution, and partipation in the life of Jesus in community  

    • Oversee group coordiantion and logistics (or overseeing those take on roles)

    • Regular presence in Sunday gatherings

    • Serve under the guidance of Spiritual Formation Pastor over Groups

  • Summary of Role

    Interest Groups gather around a shared interest and aim to create meaningful connections points for our community. As an Interest Group Leader, you would be responsible for:

    Key Responsibilities

    • Communicating clearly about the purpose and habits of your Interest Group

    • Organizing and communicating about gathering logistics (when, where, what)

    • Responding to new member requests and inviting new people in well

    • Actively participation in the life of Jesus and our church gatherings

    • Serving under the guidance of Spiritual Formation Pastor over Groups

    Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly, Bimonthly, or Quarterly
