Groups
Groups at Ecclesia offer different ways to find your people and your place in community, from long-term Small Groups and Discipleship Bands to shared interests and seasonal support. Wherever you are, there’s a place to connect and belong.
Following Jesus was Never Meant to be a Solo Journey
We believe spiritual formation happens in relationship. As we share meals, tell the truth about our lives, pray for one another, celebrate, grieve, and learn together, God uses community to shape us in profound ways.
Groups help make a large church feel smaller by creating trusted spaces where friendships can grow and faith can be practiced together. They are one of the primary ways we seek God, care for one another, and participate in the life of the community.

OUR RHYTHMS
A Place to be Real
One of our rhythms at Ecclesia is simple: Be real. We believe there is something sacred about having people in our lives who know us as we truly are, and who choose to walk alongside us with grace, kindness, and love.
Groups create space for those relationships to grow. Over time, strangers become friends. We share our stories, carry one another’s burdens, celebrate what is good, and make room for the hard things too.
This is the kind of community we hope to cultivate at Ecclesia. A place where we can be honest about our lives, be known and loved by others, and follow Jesus together.
Find Your Place in Community
Small Groups
Share life together
Small Groups are ongoing communities that meet regularly to build committed, trusted spiritual friendships. Together, groups make space to share meals, tell the truth about life, pray for one another, and seek God in the midst of everyday life. Each group is a little different, with some centered around a neighborhood and others around a particular stage of life, but all are places to know and be known.
Interest Groups
Connect around things you love
Interest Groups create easy, welcoming opportunities to connect with others through something you already enjoy. Groups form around shared interests, hobbies, activities, and experiences, giving people a natural place to meet and build relationships within the Ecclesia community. Whether you’re trying something new or finding others who love what you love, sometimes meaningful community begins by simply spending time together.
Support Groups
Find care in shared experience
Support Groups offer spaces of care and connection for people walking through a shared experience or season of life. Groups may form around experiences such as grief, recovery, or religious trauma, creating space to listen, share honestly, and receive support from people who understand something of the road you’re walking. Support Groups are offered seasonally in response to the needs of our community.
Discipleship Bands
Become like Jesus in micro-community
Discipleship Bands are small, intentional groups of three to five men or women who meet weekly or for deeper spiritual formation. Rather than following a traditional curriculum, Band members bring their own lives to the conversation, engaging transformational questions, listening to one another, and praying together. Bands create space for the kind of honesty and trust that can grow when a few people commit to following Jesus together.
Stories from Community
Community is formed in the everyday moments of sharing life together. Over time, we become known, friendships deepen, and we experience the ways God works through the people around us. Hear how Small Groups have helped Ecclesians find meaningful connection and grow together.
