Ecclesia Houston
Downtown Campus Pastor
A role rooted in presence, formation, and shared life at the heart of our city
For 26 years, Ecclesia has been rooted in the heart of Houston, a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational community seeking to embody the way of Jesus in our ordinary, daily life together. Our Downtown campus reflects the full beauty and complexity of the city: artists and entrepreneurs, families and students, neighbors experiencing homelessness, longtime members and curious newcomers. All are finding space at the same table.
We are now seeking a Campus Pastor to guide this community with humility, depth, and grounded hope. We are looking for someone who loves people, values diverse communities, and is drawn to the kind of ministry that holds worship, formation, and compassionate presence together.
About Ecclesia Downtown
This role sits at the intersection of pastoral presence, spiritual formation, collaborative leadership, and community engagement. It invites someone who takes initiative, listens deeply, and loves weaving people together for the good of the community.
The Downtown Campus Pastor will:
Shepherd a diverse congregation with warmth, wisdom, discernment, and a steady presence, helping the church grow in participation, leadership, and impact
Lead and develop staff, leaders, and volunteers in a collaborative, supportive way
Strengthen simple follow-up pathways that help people take next steps, from newcomers to leaders, and everyone in between
Work closely with central teams (Formation, Gatherings, Family Ministry, Outreach, Operations)
Champion hospitality, justice, and belonging through local partnerships and neighborhood engagement
Help steward Paper Co. as a place of connection, listening, and mission
Serve visibly in Sunday gatherings through welcome, prayer, communion, and invitations
We are seeking someone who is spiritually formed, emotionally mature, and thrives in shared leadership, someone who can nurture community across cultures, generations, and stories.
