  • Summary of Role

    Memorial services are sacred spaces where families and friends come together to honor a life, tell stories, and entrust their sorrow and gratitude to God.

    The Memorial Service Team exists to serve these moments with gentleness, attentiveness, and dignity. This team offers quiet leadership through presence—supporting families, pastoral staff, and guests so that each service feels cared for, beautiful, and unhurried.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with set-up and tear-down of the space

    • Arrive one hour prior to the service and plan to stay up to one hour afterward, if needed

    • Partner with families and pastoral staff to help beautify the room

    • Greet and guide guests with warmth and clarity

    • Pass out bulletins or service materials

    • Assist with serving food or hospitality needs

    • Serve under the guidance of our Pastoral Team

    Frequency

    Infrequent and dependent on the needs of the community
