Continue Your Support of Childcare in Argentina

Last summer Pastor Chris introduced us to Pastor Marcelo Robles who leads a church in Buenos Aires called La Misión. The church supports and runs a childcare facility for underserved children in the area.

Because of your support, 150 children had access to food, supplies and resources over the past year. Below you can read stories from children and the childcare workers who were impacted by your generosity.

If you gave a one-time gift last year and would like to continue your support for the next school year, click the button “RENEW YOUR SUPPORT” and choose to give monthly at $30 or one-time $360 for one child’s support.

If you have been giving monthly, your gift will continue to be given and no action is needed. If you would like to change or remove your giving, click the button “MANAGE YOUR GIVING”.

  • The Early Childhood Centers in Buenos Aires provide essential care and support to children aged 45 days to 3 years, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds.

These centers are integral to early childhood development and family support. Operating from 8:00 to 16:00 hrs., the center accommodates 150 children daily, offering meals, recreation, and professional support through a dedicated team, including a director, social worker, psycho-pedagogue, and psychomotor therapist.

The impact on the community has been profound over its eight years of operation. The center not only provides educational and recreational activities but also fosters spiritual growth by involving families in prayer and church activities. The love and dedication of the staff, combined with the spiritual foundation of the center, have led to meaningful connections with families, as evidenced by the numerous stories and testimonies shared by those who have benefited from the center's services.

  • Milagros, a 2-year-old girl with hydrocephalus and retinal detachment, struggled initially with her condition, often becoming distressed and hitting her head. Her mother, overwhelmed and unsure of how to care for her, found the support she needed at the childcare center.

Thanks to the care provided, Milagros has made significant progress—she can now walk, wear glasses, sit independently, and interact with her peers. Her mother feels secure knowing that Milagros is well cared for and no longer faces this challenge alone.

  • Silvia Diaz, a 43-year-old single mother of three, has worked at the childcare center for eight years, cleaning various spaces. Her income from the center is the sole support for her family, enabling her to raise her children.

Inspired by her work, Silvia is finishing high school to pursue her dream of teaching children.

  • When Daniel joined the childcare center in 2024, his family was distressed by an autism diagnosis. Unsure of how to proceed, they sought help from the center.

With the support of the center's interdisciplinary team and ongoing treatment at Garrahan Hospital, Daniel is now being closely monitored, and his family is receiving the guidance needed to support him effectively.
