The Story

For years, we have watched as Venezuela has descended into chaos, plunging millions of precious brothers and sisters into economic hardship, political unrest and unbearable living conditions. Through our friends at Vereda Church in Mexico City, we were introduced to a church on the Colombia-Venezuela border called Iglesia Cristiana Para la Frontera, Christian Church For the Border. Pastor Chris led a team to visit the church in March of 2019 and shared a sermon from the bridge, inviting Ecclesians to travel there, assist in relief efforts and help these brothers and sisters by carrying their bags and praying for them.

As in any humanitarian crisis, the stories were overwhelming. But the hope and resiliency of these precious people also encouraged every Ecclesian who visited. Our desire has been to serve holistically in this crisis, to care for hurting people and to support the local church, working tirelessly on the ground.

Below is a report on our financial support up as of November 2019.
