The season of Lent is an invitation to spend some time alone, examine our lives, and pursue a healthy rhythm of confession. During the season of Lent, there are 40 valuable days to disrupt and break habits that can lead us into beauty and completeness.

Here are a few practical guidelines to consider for this season:

  1. Eat simply; as the poor

  2. Daily Prayer & Communion for breakfast

  3. Embrace silence in the car

  4. Give up shopping

  5. Read Gospel of John twice & “Preparing for Easter

  6. Drink only water

  7. Delete non-essential apps from your phone

  8. Take a daily prayer walk

  9. Give up all fried foods & processed foods

  10. Daily give something meaningful to a friend/stranger
