Church At The Ballpark

Pastor Chris Seay shares a message from the home of our World Champion Houston Astros; casting vision for the season ahead, and the opportunities we have to cultivate and deepen relationships as we provide hospitality and invite others into the stories that God is writing in our midst.

Matthew 22: 36-38

You’ll need coffee shops and sunsets and road trips. Airplanes and passports and new songs and old songs, but people more than anything else. You will need other people and you will need to be that other person to someone else, a living breathing screaming invitation to believe better things.

Reflection Questions

Will you join and share our Home Runs For Puerto Rico campaign? Make a pledge for every home run hit by Carlos Correa this season, and contribute towards continued recovery efforts led by local church partners on the island in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

To whom will you extend an invitation to Minute Maid Park this year? This isn't simply a easy way to see a game with friends and family, but our hope is that this would be an opportunity to forge intentional connection with those God is calling us to seek out and to know better. Think of your neighbors and co-workers, those in your various and unique spheres of influence. This is a chance to hear their story and to share yours, a chance to talk about life, family, and faith. Ask God to reveal a face or name to you, and reach out with an invitation. Visit to make ticket requests for upcoming games.
