Hope Responds

Pastor Sean Palmer invites us to consider what it means to respond in hope, focusing on the model of Jesus to be known for what we are for and not simply what we are against.

We also hear from Pastor Chris Seay, who shares stories and a message of hope from Mexico City, where thousands of migrant travelers rested on their journey to escape violence and oppression in Central America. As Ecclesia answers an invitation to show hospitality and love to these brothers and sisters, where are the places in our lives where we can enter in and bring hope into the darkness?

Spiritual Practices

Pastor Sean invites us to respond through our Christian hope, in our community. Dedicate time this week to pause. With open hands, ask God to specifically reveal what it looks like for you live out this Christian hope in the communities that you are called to and planted in.

To take and consume is not love. Love DOES, love RESPONDS. What are some ways God may be calling you to respond in your world? Who may God be calling you to respond to in this season?

As we aim to let the world know what we are FOR as a church, identify this week strongholds that are standing in the way of us loving all people, in all places. Join us in prayer this week as we ask God to make us a loving people. A people that respond through and from love.
