Race, Film, and Reconciliation

Race-Film-Reconciliation.png

A great story can take us into the lives of people who are very different from us and help us find the ways that they are very like us. Stories can also help us leapfrog over divisions in our society—and they are everywhere—remind us of our common humanity, and inspire us to work for a more just society. Join Dr. Greg Garrett and our own Sean Palmer for a weekend of film screenings and conversation about racism and justice in America. Greg is the co-founder of the “Long Long Way Film Festival” at Washington National Cathedral, the author of a forthcoming book on race and film for Oxford University Press, and an award-winning professor at Baylor. Sean has engaged with Greg in deep conversations about race, film, and justice, and looks forward to inviting Ecclesia into thoughts, words, and deeds prompted by the great films we’ll enjoy together. Greg will also teach on Sunday at the Westside Campus.

Tickets are $20 and available online until Thursday, August 1st. Tickets will be available at the door for $25.
