Gatherings are one of the core practices of Christian life and our Sunday morning gatherings serve as a connection point for our entire community. This team focuses on the hosting, preparing and execution of Sunday morning gatherings.

Summary of Role
The Communion & Offering Servers Team serves during Sunday worship gatherings by passing the offering baskets and serving the communion elements. Team members help lead the congregation through these moments with calm confidence and prayerful presence.
Key Responsibilities
Sign up in advance through our Church Center App
Arrive 5-10 minutes early for the gathering you are serving at
Pass the offering baskets when indicated in the service, alternating rows in a “leap-frog” pattern
Serve communion elements with care, reverence and a smile:
To serve the bread, say “ The Body of Christ broken for you”
To serve the juice and wine, say “The Blood of Christ shed for you”
Serve as a calm, welcoming presence for guests and regular attenders alike
Serve under the guidance of our Pastoral Team

Summary of Role
Be a part of a team that allows regulars and newcomers to feel accepted, belonged and cared for at our Sunday Gatherings and special events.
Key Responsibilities
Arrive at 9:30am for our Gatherings Team meeting to check-in
Warnly welcome people at the doors as people arrive
Learn and remember names whenever possible
Attentiveness to new or unfamiliar faces
Ask open-ended, invitational questions such as, "How did you discover Ecclesia?" or "What keeps you here?”
Be ready at the Connect Table to host after gatherings close
Serve under the guidance of our Gatherings Lead
